Businesses Have to Wake Up to Carbon Reduction
Independent research commissioned by Citrix Online has revealed:
- Company directors have personally taken actions at home to reduce their household carbon footprint, but only a minority say this is a business priority for their company.
- Few businesses are taking steps to reduce the number of offsite face-to-face meetings or are encouraging staff to work from home in order to reduce travel.
- The most common green actions British businesses are taking include recycling waste paper, turning off PCs and printers when not in use and reducing energy consumption.
- Very few businesses have any policies in place regarding their business carbon footprint.
